Message	You need to find out which officer issued the ticket. If the it was the highway patrol that was called in, they did not witness the offence. I would definitely fight it, but I wouldn't bother wasting more money on a lawyer. All you really (in theory) have to do is ask one simple question. When the ticket issuing officer is on the stand, ask him if he witnessed the offence. Unless he lies, he'll say no, and when he does that ask him how can he be positive the offence was made. When he says that the off duty officer told him, let him know that is heresay. Then ask again, aside from heresay how is he 100% positive that it was you that commited the offence. Hopefully the judge will figure out real quick where you are going with this and just dismiss the case....and the ticket! Please post a follow up on this because I am interested to know the results.
